Key Ingredient Summary
Hyaluronic acid (i.e. sodium hyaluronate) is a powerful humectant that keeps the skin plump and hydrated. It is a naturally-occurring polysaccharide (i.e. carbohydrate) that can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water. Even though hyaluronic acid is a relatively large molecule, this moisture-enriching provides long-lasting moisture because it penetrates the dead cell layer (i.e. stratum corneum) and permeates the skin. Increased hydration leads to improved elasticity and can also reverse free radical damage. Hyalronic acid can promote microcirculation and nutrient absorption all of which contribute to smoother skin and a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles.
Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer (i.e. hyaluronic acid high MW) provides an added hydration benefit to the skin by stiumlating barrier fortification with wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties.

Azeloyl Bis-Peptide-10 is a unique peptide derived from the condensation of Azelaic acid and tetrapeptide-23; a synthetic peptide containing two molecules of Alanine and two of Histidine (ALA-HIS-azeloyl-ALA-HIS). This peptide has been shown to have antioxidant and anti-glycation properties. Glycation (also known as non-enzymatic glycosylation) has been directly linked to premature aging.
